Open to entrants of all abilities, whether you’re an experienced runner or a novice, the route will pass iconic, world-class venues like the Velodrome and Aquatics Centre and culminates in the first public access to the Olympic Stadium – the centrepiece of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

On the day, a host of past and present Olympic and Paralympic stars will be present – both participating and offering support – as you achieve your own sporting glory on the road to London 2012. Your nearest and dearest will be able to cheer you on as you achieve your sporting best, as every runner will be issued with two spectator passes. These spectator passes will give access to the Olympic Stadium on the day, enabling two of your friends or family to share the unforgettable atmosphere and witness the landmark moment when you cross the finishing line.

HOW TO ENTER

The cost of entering The National Lottery Olympic Park Run is just £15.

There are 5,000 places available to the public for this event and entry will be through a ballot system open until midnight on 27 October 2011.

As well as experiencing what it’s like to be an elite athlete running in the Olympic Stadium, the entry fee includes a race number, two spectator passes for the Olympic Stadium, a full information pack sent to you approximately two weeks before the event, a high-quality event T-Shirt to wear on the run, computer chip timing for a completely accurate running time, on-course refreshments, a finisher’s pack and souvenir medal.

This amount will only be debited from successful applicants and you will be informed if you are successful by email prior to Friday 4 November 2011.

ESGCT and BSGT Collaborative Congress 2011, Brighton UK

Fanconi Hope is contribution sponsorship of £1000 for this important gathering of the European Gene Therapy community in Brighton from 20th to 23rd October 2011. As well as having a Fanconi Hope stand in the exhibition area on the 20th we will be providing literature which will be distributed to all attendees at the conference in their delegate pack, explaining the reasons why FA is an ideal candidate for gene therapy research. With many hundreds of delegates and a significant attendance from the Press this is an important forum in which to raise awareness and get our message across.

The President of the British Society for Gene Therapy, Prof Adrian Thrasher, will also be participating in our International FA Gene Therapy Working Group Meeting in Barcelona the previous week.
